Three is one of the most important scoring margins in football. At Rams −3, a three-point Los Angeles win produces a push on a standard spread ticket. If the market moves to −3.5, the same result becomes a loss for the favorite. That half-point changes the settlement even when the game outcome does not.

Patriots at Bills — Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET
Seven is another common NFL margin. Buffalo −7 pushes on a seven-point win; −7.5 would require an eight-point win to cover. The 48.5 total avoids a tie because an NFL final score is a whole number, but a move through 48 or 49 can still change how the same score grades.

Colts at Commanders — Sunday, 9:30 a.m. ET in London
This international game starts earlier than the normal Sunday window. At −3.5, a field-goal win is not enough for Indianapolis to cover. The half-point beyond three is therefore meaningful, even though the favorite remains the same.
