UFC Fight Night predictions and matchup analysis

EdgeLine Sports Analytics evaluates UFC Fight Night matchups using fighter performance, opponent quality, stylistic interactions and available market prices. Open the current UFC fight card for live matchup information and saved results. Event dates, fighters and odds can change; this guide does not invent a current card or promise a winner.

How we analyze UFC Fight Night

We examine striking volume and accuracy alongside striking defense, takedown attempts and defense, submission activity, experience, recent form and strength of opposition. Styles matter: a strong striker can face a different risk profile against a persistent wrestler than against another stand-up fighter. Missing or inconsistent data lowers confidence rather than being silently filled in.

Winner probability versus betting value

The fighter most likely to win is not necessarily a favorable pick at the available price. EdgeLine separates its projected winner from a value recommendation, which requires a meaningful difference between model probability and the market, with adequate data quality. See the implied-probability and odds calculators for price examples.

Where to find current predictions

The UFC analytics board lists available fights, links to individual matchup pages and tracks completed outcomes. Public previews and verified historical results remain available; premium forecast details require membership. See membership options.

How to evaluate past UFC predictions

Check the pre-fight snapshot against the official result. Exclude any matchup without a verifiable saved prediction from the model's verified record. An outright-winner forecast and an official value play are different measures and should not be combined into one win-loss total.

Four checks before using a UFC prediction

  1. Match the event and fighters. Check the current card and its refresh time. A replacement opponent requires a fresh matchup review.
  2. Check the evidence. Compare striking defense, takedown defense and strength of opposition alongside offensive output. Missing data should remain visible.
  3. Match the price and timestamp. Convert the offered moneyline to break-even probability before comparing it with the model. An old quote is not a current opportunity.
  4. Separate the records. Verify that a forecast existed before the fight, then distinguish an outright-winner result from an official value-play result.

Worked UFC odds example

At an illustrative −150 moneyline, the raw break-even rate is 150 ÷ 250 = 60%. A $100 winning stake earns about $66.67 profit. At +130, the raw break-even rate is 100 ÷ 230, or about 43.5%. The two rates add to more than 100% because the prices include a sportsbook margin.

Normalizing those two probabilities produces a market estimate of about 58% for the −150 fighter. An illustrative 62% model forecast differs by about 4 percentage points; it is not a guaranteed return. Review the board’s probability and price example and the separate official-play criteria.

Current card and archived fight context
